Jet Moon’s Speakeasy - Celebrating journeys and tales of becoming.

25th July at the Arcola theatre

Jet Moon presents an evening of performance, stories from the queer/trans community.
(including a few people from the transfriendly boards)  Smiley

When I was growing up I used to look around and think ‘there must be more than this’. But I couldn’t imagine what that ‘something else’ would look like it was a lonely dream. All around me were stories of who I should be, how I should fit in and all the other things I could never quite manage to do. Those stories, the ones where it seems like you’re the only one who isn’t ‘just like everybody else’ – they’re a lie.

What I’ve found instead is that each of us is made up of a thousand precious details. Caught memories, desires, heartbreaks and hopes - the pieces that make us - our own beautiful intimate stories. There are never enough stories, of how we are different, our commonalities, how we came to be, what we think, feel and experience. And the telling of our stories, the act of making the hidden visible, is a radical act in itself.

Jet Moon Writing and performing in collaboration with Juliet Jaques. Jason Elvis Barker. Greg Renegado. Iris Abras. Natacha Jessica Kennedy + special guests.

Tickets £ 7 – advance bookings only - 50 tickets available

Tickets may be purchased directly from Jet Moon contact: speakeasy@jetmoon.net or via the Arcola Theatre box office call 020 75031646

if anyone is super keen and doesn't have a ticket, you could try getting to the theatre early on the day and putting your name on the list to see if there are any spares....

even tho all the tickets are pre booked and paid for i guess there are always at least one or two people who can't make it on the day....so there is chance of getting in.

rehearsals have been so.beautiful. ....miss dotty and i have been applauding like mad these past few days, performers are doing fabulously well.

and what a lovely audience you all were - i LOVED seeing the performers, most of whom who were SO bloody nervous, going on and enjoying themselves out on stage....coming backstage afterwards grinning and happy.

here's a link to Juliet's blog which has her script for the show on it..... the one about football  Wink  Kiss

@Toxic When you said hi to me, I was momentarily confused as to who you were.  The T is really working for you!  You're looking great.
