What have the preflight checks highlighted in your life today? How favourable was the status report?no need to pack just yet but i might have a few bits of extra luggage. How is today different from yesterday?slightly less sleep deprived, a lot less annoyed, more sure of my own judgement. What are you planning to do today to make progress?wrote a bit, talked a lot, missed out on the woods... (missing the woods was unintentional) slept more. What are you LIKELY to do today that will set you back?mmm, well i would have liked to make it into the wilds, and other than that i held back on any of the more volatile impulses Which deity would you like to thank in the award acceptance speech for the day?other peoples good manners, and failing that me biting my tongue some of the time How have you shown your soft side in the last 24 hours?dressed up as 'frank' but wore better shoes....and was kind with it. And what about your hard side?was probably fairly patronising.... god i enjoyed it! How have you been kind to yourself?slept more, wrote more, said no when i felt like it. Who looked back out of the mirror at you?someone with new shoes and a bit of extra attitude If you were to speak to yourself right now, as a benevolent mentor, what advice/ encouragement/ ...er whatever, would you give yourself?no need to suffer the idiots at all, and hey doesn't telling people 'NO' feel good! What have you done recently that's fun and free?catching with old mates, making a few new ones Have you learnt anything today?quite a few things some of it quite .

What have the preflight checks highlighted in your life today? How favourable was the status report? *needs a raspberry blowing smily*. Made it through the latest DWP medical without having a heart attack, swearing, or bursting into tears out of frustration.
How is today different from yesterday? At least its over.
What are you planning to do today to make progress? Try not to give it any more thought until they forget to tell me that they've stopped my payments again.
What are you LIKELY to do today that will set you back? Fall asleep on the sofa.
Which deity would you like to thank in the award acceptance speech for the day? the ConDem unholy alliance
How have you shown your soft side in the last 24 hours? Nobody died
And what about your hard side? Not even me, although I felt like it by eleven or so last night.
How have you been kind to yourself? Turned the phone off for a while.
Who looked back out of the mirror at you? I seem to have pecs today, although they're not in the same place as my moob job scars. I have no idea where they came from coz my other shoulder's been crunching too much to do any chest exercises for a few weeks now.
If you were to speak to yourself right now, as a benevolent mentor, what advice/ encouragement/ ...er whatever, would you give yourself? Don't run away with a rucksack just yet - I know it'd be less boring than waiting for various tossers to get their acts together, but it'd be a bit premature even if it meant that you were in charge of your life again.
What have you done recently that's fun and free? Laughed at a story in the metro on the way home.
Have you learnt anything today? I'm not holding my breath.

I have the best itunes library ever. Just cheered myself up making a seventies and eighties rock playlist full of spectacularly cheesy songs, and I know the words to all of them. So do a car full of people in the carpark, coz I just heard them when I tripped over the jack lead and pulled it out

What have the preflight checks highlighted in your life today? How favourable was the status report? Got out of bed but so far today doesn't seem to be happening. How is today different from yesterday? I'm in a miserable mood. What are you planning to do today to make progress? Possibly make a pile of paperwork, although I doubt whether any of it will make any bl**dy difference, and almost certainly won't result in progress. What are you LIKELY to do today that will set you back? Not remember that a sense of perspective helps, or try to gain a different perspective from a horizontal position, which also won't help.Which deity would you like to thank in the award acceptance speech for the day? Let's just not go there today. How have you shown your soft side in the last 24 hours? I don't think I've even spoken to anybody since before the weekend. And what about your hard side? Managed to avoid biscuits, cake, fried bread, cheese toasties, and to shift a bit more weight. How have you been kind to yourself? Wasn't doing too bad until today, have been writing and trying to get better at it.Who looked back out of the mirror at you? Whatever it is it keeps surprising me.If you were to speak to yourself right now, as a benevolent mentor, what advice/ encouragement/ ...er whatever, would you give yourself? You can't always control change, you can't always predict the future, you can just wave two fingers and get on with it. Perhaps you'd like to cancel the rest of today and try to find something useful to do with yourself instead of giving a sh!t. Nobody else does, so where's the sense in feeling bad about it when you could be trying something else? How does it change YOU? Nada. Suck it up buttercup. When you've got a target, then let it rip at full force, don't let it burn you. What have you done recently that's fun and free? Fixed the knackered second hand rowing machine with gaffer tape and bits of candle coz the jogger is shagged. It's easier to keep my heart rate up with the rower. Have you learnt anything today? That the postman has been and there's nothing useful with my name on it.

Thanks KG.
If I'm going to "climb another rung up the ladder toward that goal you've stretched so diligently toward" I hope it's my academic goal. Either that or my goal of marrying in to the royal family, but I've been even less diligent about that one.

^^ In 2001, she was the poet most often set to (art) music by composers. This may still be true. The reason for it was that she is very recently out of copyright and her work is popular. For a while, there were grants about and specific calls for setting of her words, but I haven't seen one recently.
I actually heard a speech by somebody from the American Composers Forum, advising composers to get in on this while it was hot!

Three rooms of fun with more than excellent music from DJ Vicki Lester (Torture Garden, Club Wotever)
We show our own home made klub fukk Queer Porn by & with US!

In October we celebrate our Sixth Year Anniversary(!!!) and if you haven't been for a while - maybe you should come along again.... it is pretty unique and lovely and it is never better than the people who turn up and enjoy themselves! Klub Fukk are Proud to be Queer and sex positive pervs with kinky souls and bodies! And we more than proud to part of a vibrant kinky queer scene in London. As anyone who have ever been involved in running any event might know, doing it again and again is hard and wouldn't be possible if we didn't enjoyed it so much ourselves and got such lovely feed back from our regulars.... we definitely Do It Together! And there is always space for more hosts/doorstaff etc - so if you want to help out, please get in touch.
Coming Dates: 9 October - BIRTHDAY PARTY 13 November 11 December
Welcome!
